Set designs and arrangement

This was Nous Vous final display at there degree exhibition. There work is amazing an even how it all has been arranged and presented demonstrates how brilliant they are, it is all so aesthetically pleasing.

Nous Vous & Jullan Vallee, again

Keep calm and carry on..

Looking at the orginal designs for the war poster. Keep Calm and Carry On was a motivatiobal poster produced by the government in 1939 during the beginning of the war, but never used. It was rediscovered in 2000 and has been re-issued by a number of private sector companies, and used as the decorative theme for a range of other products.

Sarah Fotheringham....

For the Ted Baker brief i wanted to produce a set which was extremely busy and colourful, something to draw attention to the display instantly when you walked past. Fotheringham has produced displays before to great success as you can see above. Her designs are busy, to some they may appear to be overcrowded however i think they are spot on and every part works well togtehr.

Sarah Fotheringham

I was interested in her work to see how her set designs were photographed and then taken into poster context. Considering her layout and positioning of text.

This just made me laugh. It is some of Fotheringhams very early work. She made a chocolate bust of her head and told her partner to eat it.

Ted baker boutique Covent garden

Limited edition Christmas shop window display for there boutique in content garden. Aimed at females, i liked the designers use of cutting out elements and layering them against one another to form the background.

Past ted baker shop windows

Above and below are past shop window fronts for Ted baker - all fairly recent. they have a very distinctive style and way of presenting there shop, as quirky, modern and up to beat with the current trends. Alot of there displays involve puns, words games playing to the season changes. I think they are all very bizarre but humerus and work very well as displays because they are different from the average shop window so they stand out.

Matt Wingfield studio!

here are some of Matt's working drawings from when i did my placement at his studio in the summer. It was very interesting to how he worked and planned his initial designs and then took them to the shop windows ready and made.

Martin Parr
